We can arrange tuition for newcomers or those that are just rusty and will help you play well in a friendly environment.
Thanks to Tony Calvert for allowing us to use his wonderful photo of Rottingdean and the windmill.
We held our annual Christmas Bridge Party on Friday 7th December - a near capacity 10 and a half tables. A free day so no table money collected.
The club gave out keyring torches as Chrismas presents for the players.
We had a super tea in the interval. As usual Belinda excelled herself with her wonderful sandwich making. Wine was also available for those who fancied something a little stronger than the usual tea or coffee.
Victory on the day went to Dave Baker and Eric Shur with an excellent 68.18%.
Happy Christmas everybody from all at Rottingdean Bridge Club.
Winners of the "Brian Barnard - 3NT for ever" shield for 2018 are awarded the trophy with a super 69.35%
Belinda Leacock and Steve Wetherilt are presented the shield by club president Monica Watts.
Rottingdean Bridge Club is known as a very friendly club.
Visitors are always welcome.
We meet in the Main Hall in the Whiteway Centre on Whiteway Lane where we play duplicate pairs on Friday afternoons. Tea, coffee and biscuits are provided.
Membership is only £5 a year with table monies of £3 for members and £4 for visitors.
Please be there for about 1:15pm for a 1:30pm start.
Rottingdean Bridge Club is happy to announce that we are fortunate to be one of 676 organisations across England who have been awarded a part of a £23 million fund announced today - September 13th 2016.
We will use the funding to purchase a PlayBridgeDealer4+ dealing machine and other related items. We believe the new equipment will enable us to attract more members and thereby grow attendance numbers thus reaching a larger part of our community. We also think the new equipment and the technical information it can provide will encourage player learning and personal development.
If you are looking for a partner for a particular Friday afternoon please get in touch with Chris Evans and she will try to pair you up.
There will be no bridge Christmas week - Friday 28th December.
See you all again in the new year on Friday 4th January as usual.
