HOLIDAY TO LECCE
HOLIDAY TO LECCE
Last year was our first venture abroad to the lovely seaside town of Varna, Bulgaria (photos HERE). The positive feedback encouraged us to continue our partnership with Stefan and his company BridgeLife and run another holiday abroad.

Our next destination is  Lecce, ItalyThe holiday will take place between the 2nd and 9th of July 2019 (7 nights).

Lecce is the capital of the province of Lecce and arguably the most interesting tourist destination in the region of Puglia, Southern Italy. The historic city was founded about 2000 years ago and is commonly known as "The Florence of the South". For our stay, we have selected the 4* 8Piuhotel, which is the best-rated hotel in Lecce on most of the reservation websites, exceeding the customer satisfaction for the five-star hotels in town.

British Airways flies directly from Heathrow to Brindisi airport, 30 miles away from our hotel, to which a complimentary shuttle bus has been arranged. Along with Stefan, the group will be headed by our popular director and teacher Richard Banbury. Both Stefan & Richard will be organising seminars aimed at improving your game in addition of course to the daily duplicate session. Costs: Sharing a double/twin room - £600 per person,Sharing a Junior suite - £730 Double room for single occupancy - £770 per person, Junior suite for single occupancy - £1030. Please note that flights are not included in the package and you will need to make your own arrangements.
At the time of writing this , the price of a return flight on British Airways is about £175.
Considering the success of the last holiday, we believe this holiday will get full up pretty quickly, so don't wait for the deadline to book, because space is limited. Please register your interest by clicking   Register Interest in Lecce
WELCOME TO RICHMOND BRIDGE CLUB
WELCOME TO RICHMOND BRIDGE CLUB

Welcome to Richmond Bridge Club the most popular and successful EBU affiliated club in the country. Richmond Bridge club has been the No.1 club in the country for 8 consecutive years and we hope we are creating some sort of record. The club is housed in the old Bowling Club Pavilion in Cambridge Park, nestling between Richmond and Twickenham in South-West London. TThe Clubhouse, extensively refurbished in 2002, is now probably one of the finest in Surrey and  can accommodate 36-37  tables.

We offer a full range of duplicate bridge playing facilities from Monday to Friday, some Saturday Evenings and Sunday afternoons. The club also offers lessons for players of all standards to learn bridge as a beginner or to improve their bridge with various Refresher and Intermediate courses. Afternoon sessions start promptly at 1.45pm (start-time on Sundays is 2.30pm) and  in the evenings, play begins at 7.30pm. Special events are often held at weekends. The Club is affiliated to the Surrey County Bridge Association and the English Bridge Union.

Computer-dealt hands (with printed hand copies available after play) and the "Bridgemate" wireless scoring system (giving you instant results as you play) are used for all sessions.

LATE ARRIVALS
LATE ARRIVALS

All players should be seated at least 10 minutes before the session starts. Arriving late without warning is rude, and should be avoided if at all possible. If you are delayed en-route to a session, please be sure to call and tell us so that we may reserve space for you in the movement (or inform your waiting partner), otherwise you risk a wasted journey.

EVENING PARKING
EVENING PARKING

Please note we are now allowed to park in the bowling club car park week days from 7.00pm. We are keen to be good neighbours and if you use the car park you will leave more spaces for local residents. If you cannot park in the car park please park on the bowling club side of the road. Do not park on the residential side of the  road or in Fairlawns (the small crescent on the left). We appreciate your help.
