"Regis Bridge Club" is the principal duplicate bridge club in Dunstable, So named from when it first opened in "Houghton Regis", a small town on the outskirts of Dunstable, Bedfordshire.

The Phil Laycock Handicap Pairs event took place on 22 April with 31 pairs taking part. Congratulations go to the winners Hilary Clark and Pauline Hansen whose adjusted score was 60.7%. In Second place were George Hawkins and Mike Baylis who, with 57.6% narrowly beat Megan Hardman and Norman Hampton into third place. Well done to the winners and commiserations to the losers. This was the best attended handicap pairs event since we started the competition so my thanks to all of you for giving your support on the night.

The annual barbecue took place as scheduled on 22 July. 46 members attended the event and enjoyed the usual high standard of cooking as prepared by Peter Pratt. Sweets were provided by Melek, Pat and Brenda to finish off a first class repast. After the food came the Bridge directed as usual by me. The individual winners were Anne Camp, Paul Kilduff, Angela Stevens and A N other.
