Preston Bridge Club (PBC) - Gibb and Parkinson trophies
The Gibb/Parkinson is PBC’s premier competition and the club is working hard to ensure it continues and stays an important part of the club’s rebuilding programme after Covid.
Unfortunately, in 2025 a session of the Gibb/Parkinson had to be cancelled on the night as there were too few pairs in attendance. Some members had travelled a considerable distance and were obviously disappointed to have to return home without a game. As well as being very annoying to the members affected, this sort of occurrence tends to put people off attending in the future.
The club is therefore instituting a pre-event registration system, and each monthly session will only take place if we have 4 tables registered on the Saturday before the event. If you intend to play in this month’s session (see below for dates), then please register NOW on the form below. Only one entry per pair but give both players' names please.
If the 4 table target is not reached, you will receive an email from the club secretary, one or two days before the session – please keep an eye out for this. No email means the session is running!
