| Club Information |
The club is located in the village of Prestbury in East Cheshire. Close to the Peak District and within 20 minutes of Manchester airport. The club was founded in 1991 with the aim of providing friendly and competitive duplicate bridge once a week for local area residents. Prestbury is a thriving club and has a membership of around 100 with generally between 12 and 15 tables on any club night.
The initial venue was the Bridge Hotel where the club members used to meet every Tuesday evening. In 1994, the club moved to the Village Hall, shown here, where it still continues to meet every Tuesday.
The "Helen Eisenberg Memorial Cup" is presented to the year's most successful pair at the annual dinner.
The club supports the East Cheshire Hospice and over the past 25 years has contributed £78,000 mainly by way of subscriptions.
