The recent formation of the PlayBridgeTeacher Association (PBTA) is receiving tremendous support from a number of well known teachers, none more so than Ron Klinger. We have made it clear that your method of teaching and the materials you use is your choice, in fact once our closed PBTA room is available, it hoped that you will exchange ideas, material and teaching methods with others. To get things moving in this direction, Ron has prepared a series of notes relating to the following books, recommending how teachers can use the books and even identifying the number of lessons that they can generate.

To assist PBTA members further, Ron has prepared hand strips for each book which we will make freely available, in downloadable form, once the PBTA room is operational. We have also secured a 10% discount on the above books, for PBTA members and these will soon be available from the online PlayBridgeShop.

You will note that Ron suggests that you could make use of a dealing machine to provide pre-dealt boards. Alas the cost of such a machine has put this out of the reach of most teachers. However, we will soon be offering a new Autodealer, from Australia, which reads the face of any cards, rather than the costly bar coded version, making it far more affordable then ever before. In addition we will also be offering a dealing service to teachers, clubs and special events – so watch this space.
