SOLO BOAT HANDLING

Are you considering taking solo charge of your boat? What would you do if you had to? What about locks or mooring, can you tackle these using your normal operating methods?

This system will provide you with methods where crew are beneficial but not necessary. If you have to solo-operate the boat you will not have to change your  normal operating methods and you will learn to proceed through locks with the confidence gained under the comfort of crew aboard. Sounds strange? Well it's become a normal system with us and we practice throughout our travels and have now written a book on the subject to help the lessons we provide.

The philosophy is that you operate as a solo and at locks, moorings or any regular canal feature even when crew are there to help. Crew on the other hand have the knowledege and confidence to steer and accept responsibility for boat control in any situation. Basically everyone becomes able to carry out each task whether steering, lock work or tying up.
