PANNAL BRIDGE CLUB

New Member Information

The current membership fee is £10 per year with the renewal of the fee due every August.

The club meets on Monday evenings at Pannal Memorial Hall, play starting at 7.00 pm and ending by 10.00 pm.  You will be made most welcome.

Please make every effort to arrive and be seated by 6.45 pm as this allows movements to be decided and boards distributed for a prompt start at 7.00 pm.

A member may invite the same visitor up to 3 times a year but no guest may play more than 6 times a year. Weekly table money is £3.50 and guests contribute £4.00 per visit.

Pannal Bridge Club is a friendly, non-affiliated club.  It is expected that all members are well mannered with their partners as well as their opponents and the club seeks to encourage good honest play whilst upholding the etiquette of bridge.

Our members are expected to remember that it is bad manners to criticise opponents or partners during play, and they are encouraged to give credit for good bidding or play.

The hall has to be cleared at the end of the evening and assistance with moving tables and chairs and packing away our bridge paraphernalia is much appreciated.  Many hands make light work!

The primary method of communication with members will be via email whenever possible.  Should any of the contact details you have provided change, please inform a member of the committee as soon as possible so that our records can be updated.

The Webster Trophy is the club pair’s competition open to members only.  For details of this competition, rules and standings check the website.

Members will need to go through a registration process to obtain a User Id and password allowing access to the ‘Members Only’ area of the website.  Speak to any committee member for more information.

Please respect the privacy of the information contained on the members list and do not provide the data to anyone else without the prior permission of the individual in question.

A ‘Find a Partner’ service is available to members who find themselves in need of a partner on an occasional basis.
