Travelling to Oxford City Football Club

2 April to 14 December 2018: for information on how to get to our temporary premises at Oxford City Football Club see this page

Travelling to Oxford Bridge Club

The Clubhouse is located at 147 Banbury Road, Oxford OX2 7AN.
Telephone: 01865 554414

By Bicyle

Cycle parking is available at the club.  Cycles should be left around the back of the club (access via the side gate).

By Bus

The club is well served  by public transport with buses running along the two arterial roads to the north of the city centre - Banbury Road and Woodstock Road.  A good website for times and distances from anywhere is here.  Look here for a listing of all Oxfordshire bus routes and frequencies.

The following buses serve the Lathbury Road stop on Banbury Road (2 minutes walk from the club)

Services 2, 2A, 2B, 2C, 2D, S4, S5, 14, 14A, 17, 17A.

Service 700 runs from Kidlington, through the Water Eaton Park & Ride and stops at Summertown shops on Banbury Road (6 minutes walk from the club) and continues on via the Marston Ferry Road to the JR and Churchill hospitals.  This service is available during the day only.

Service 500.

Buses also run along the Woodstock Road.  Alight at the South Parade stop on the Woodstock Road (12 minutes walk to the club) or alight at Beech Croft Road on the Woodstock Road (7 minutes walk to the club).  The Pear Tree Park & Ride service in available until 23.30 week days.

Services 6, S2, S3, 300 (Pear Tree Park & Ride), 853.

By Train

The club premises are a little less than 2 miles from Oxford Station. On arrival make your way onto the forecourt and take Bus 14/A (towards Headington) and alight at the Lathbury Road stop on the Banbury Road.  Journey takes approximately 12 minutes (traffic permitting) and then 2 minutes walk brings you to the club.  Alternatively, walk 15 minutes into the centre of Oxford to catch a bus on route  2/A/B/C/D or S4 and alight at the Lathbury Road stop on the Banbury Road.

By Car

Car users coming to the City of Oxford are encouraged to use one of the Park and Ride facilities on the edges of the city. The closest to the club is Water Eaton P&R (OX2 8HA). From there take the Park and Ride bus (No. 500) to the Summertown stop on the BanburyRoad - the club is 6 minutes walk from there. The next closest to the club is Peartree P&R (OX2 8JD). From there take the Park and Ride bus (No. 300) to the South Parade stop on the Woodstock Road - the club is 12 minutes walk from there.

Club members are encouraged to car share where possible. If you are planning to come by car try to find someone to travel with from your local area.

Parking at the Clubhouse is limited to the space to the left of the front door. Anyone with a reason to park in this space must be pre-approved and must lodge details of their car insurance policy with the Secretary.

Please note that space for parking is severely limited, so restrictions must apply. Priority for parking is as follows:

1. Genuinely disabled players, with severely limited mobility. Note - possession of a disabled badge does not necessarily guarantee priority.

2. Director and scorer for the current session.

The two spaces on the right of the forecourt (marked 147A and 147B) are strictly reserved for the occupants of the flats above the club. Members are not permitted under any circumstances to aprk in these spaces or in such a way that these spaces may not be accessed by the flat occupants. If any player contravenes this regulation, the matter will be automatically referred to the Conduct Committee.
