| New Features at NBC |
 The OPEN PAIRS DUPLICATE BRIDGE TOURNAMENT to mark the First Anniversary of the Club was held on Sunday 27 August 2017 at the Singhalese Sports Club, Maitland Place, Colombo 7, commencing at 9.15 am.
It was a well attended event where 34 pairs representing Kandy, Moratuwa, Gampaha, Womens' International, Vajira and Nugegoda Bridge Clubs were represented.
The Tournament Director was Rex Perera.
Congratulations to the winning pair of Bandula Seneweera & Edward Perera and runners-up Asantha De Mel & HHJ Keerthisena.
