NOTTINGHAMSHIRE CONTRACT BRIDGE ASSOCIATION
ANNOUNCE A NEW PRESTIGIOUS EASTER EVENT
THE PRIDAY CUP
This is a new pairs event for Nottinghamshire couples
of NGS 8 or below.
The aim is to hold a friendly supportive ‘ No Fear’ yet competitive event for people of a similar standard.
So do join in! It will be fun!!
HOW THIS EVENT WORKS
- There will be qualifying heats based in participating clubs on a normal club night at any point (decided by the Club) in a four week period commencing March each year.
- Qualifying events are run on a normal Club Duplicate basis. There is no change to the usual award of MP to winners on that club night but irrespective of where the particular pair comes on that night, the highest 3 qualifying pairs will be entitled to go through to the Finals.
- If one of these 3 pairs cannot make the Finals, the space will be offered to the next highest qualifying pair.
- The Club need not be an affiliated Club but individuals must have an EBU number and be NGS 8 or below at the time of the qualifier.
- The Finals will be held at a central venue to be announced, on a simple Duplicate basis. Individuals may enter more than one qualifier in different clubs but can only qualify once!
- Clubs wishing to participate should email their chosen date by 1 March and the details of the 3 qualifying pairs by 8 April to NCBA Event Organiser Toni tonitsmith@tiscali.co.uk
- For further information contact NCBA Secretary Clare cpbatten@yahoo.com
