Welcome to the Nottinghamshire Contract Bridge Association web site. The Association was founded in 1937 and its aims are to promote and further bridge in Nottinghamshire, to organise competitions in the County and to participate in matches with other counties.

Daytime Duplicate at Nottingham Bridge Club to include a buffet lunch.
Nottingham Bridge Club together with NCBA are running a daytime bridge session once a month
This social duplicate event is an exciting new venture following feedback requesting daytime bridge:

The cost is £6.00 to include a buffet lunch.
(£7 for non members)
The bridge will start at 12.45 and finish 4.00pm to avoid the rush hour.
We will have a host so you can play without a partner.
Please email or sign up on the NBC noticeboard beforehand (to give the caterer some idea of the numbers coming).

Aimed at the developing bridge player, a Wednesday afternoon drive is being arranged, hosted by Graham Brindley at the Nottingham Bridge Club. You do not need to be an EBU or Club member, nor come as a pair. Support to help you make the transition from beginners lessons to joining a club.

Nottinghamshires Willie Crook now tops the English Bridge Union's countrywide NGS list with a grade of 70.19%.
Not for the first time Ankush Khandelwal & Willie Crook won this event. They won all 7 matches scoring 117 VPs to finish well clear in a field of 36 pairs. That makes 4 of the last 6 for Ankush; and plenty over the years for Willie. Irene & John Auld were 4th.

In the first county match of 2018/19 Notts won the Dawes match 17-3, lost the Porter 8-12 and won the Markham 14-6.

Congratulations to Toni Smith & Steve Fordham who finished 18th out of 600 pairs in this event.
- Mike Nailard & Ian Nicholson who won April's Cafe Bridge charity event, first of 42 pairs,
- Steve Raine whose team (Chris Cooper, John Sansom, Justin Hackett ) came 3rd in the teams event at the Scarborough Summer Congress,
- Hannah Tuus who produced a "stunning piece of cardplay" in an U-26 traning match, noted by David Bird in August's English Bridge, and
- Ankush Khandelwal who has won 3 of the past 5 Green Point Swiss Pairs events organised by Notts/ Derbyshire & Leicestershire.
Anyone who has played or would like to play for the County teams this year need to register their interest with the County Team Organiser.
