| Enjoy duplicate bridge in a friendly club |
Formed in 1992, NBC is now a well-established, friendly, EBU-affiliated club which plays at Weoley Castle WMC where we use the club's concert room and its ample off-road parking facilities.
There is a one-off joining fee of £10 with an annual membership of £8. Table money is just £2.00 for members and £3.00 for non-members. Members are also obliged to join the WMC but the charge for this is met from NBC resources
We meet each Monday and Thursday evening at 7.00 pm to be ready for a 7.15 pm start. Generally, the bridge is less competitive at our Monday sessions where we expect around five tables, compared to Thursday where we expect between nine and twelve tables.
We both welcome and encourage players who want to try playing at a bridge club for the first time and our membership ranges all the way from novices to a Life Master.
We run a host system on most Thurday nights so that we are able to offer to un-partnered visitors someone with whom they may play. Currently, there is no host on Mondays so if you intend to turn up it is better to come with a partner or to telephone Linda Motley as she may be able to help.

Pictured to the left, and captured for posterity after the closing of our 2010 AGM evening in July are Mavis, Julian and Pam, all of whom appear mightily relieved to be able to be getting on with playing some bridge! To balance the record though, the AGM was (as it always is of course) a non-controversial occasion conducted efficiently and quickly.
