Welcome to the website of the North Devon Section (NDS), a subsection of the Devon Bridge Association (DBA). All EBU members in Devon are automatically members of the DBA. The NDS supports and represents the four EBU-affiliated clubs in North Devon -- Barnstaple, Braunton, and Taw Vale.

The NDS also runs a number of events throughout the year including the North Devon Congress, held at the Barnstaple Hotel.

Friday Afternoon Online Pairs on BBO These sessions will start up again on Friday October 4, 2024 at 2pm. We will play 16 boards on BBO. Everyone is welcome! If you haven't played before, click HERE for details on how to sign up.

Charity Bridge Afternoon & Cream Tea - Sunday 12th May 2024 at 2pm The Bideford Rotary Club invite you to this event at Alwington Village Hall, EX39 5AW. The cost is £20 per pair, call Brian Sims on 01271 343607 to book.

The next North Devon Charity Teams at Filleigh Village Hall will be on Sunday 17th November 2024 so save the date! Players enter as a pair and will be matched to make up a team. For More details and an entry form will be available soon.

The Charity Swiss Teams Competition for the Dartington Glass Trophy took place at the Filleigh Village Hall.

A total of 16 teams took part and thanks to everyone's generosity, we raised over £500 for our two charities - Macmillan Cancer Care and the North Devon Hospice.

The North Devon Congress took place at the Barnstaple Hotel on Friday 23rd February through Sunday 25th February 2024.

Many thanks to everyone who came along and to the excellent staff at the Barnstaple Hotel.

The winners of the ten-match Swiss Pairs competition on the Friday and Saturday for the Simon Bridgeman Cup were Graham Horscroft & Mike Bull (above left), and the winners of the six-match blue-pointed Swiss Teams competition were Dave Smith & Chris Wormleighton with Sue Ingham & Gwynn Davis (above right).
