| Please note .... |
FRIDAY afternoons at BROADWELL Village Hall (1.45 pm start), remain quite popular, and are now a regular part of the programme. There may be a few dates not meeting, eg holiday, or allocated to a Charity session, eg 21 Oct (Chicago, pre-entry), so PLEASE DO CHECK your email bulletins / this website. Pre-entry for our normal (relatively unhurried) duplicate pairs is not needed, but if you do need a partner, 1.30 arrival, or, even better, a text in advance, is a distinctly good idea.

| Origins and Policy ..... ! |

The North Cotswolds Bridge Club started in 1985, primarilly to provide local learning and practice sessions - but always in a friendly, relaxed and sociable environment. The host / teacher / proprietor (Alan Lamb) still feels relatively young and active, despite those dates! The Club has been 'full-time' since 1990, for up to 3 sessions per day (Tuesdays-Fridays, but with occasional events on other days), most weeks, and operates with a very 'open' and welcoming policy. 'Mixed ability' is a key description, and improvers are encouraged to any session that they can 'keep up' with, and feel comfortable at. More experienced players are welcome, provided that they themselves welcome newcomers !
Please note (May 2013) : after prolonged difficulties with the new EBU universal membership scheme, this Club has now disaffiliated. This does not affect the games at all, just no master points !
