| Origins and Policy ..... ! |

The North Cotswolds Bridge Club started in 1985, primarilly to provide local learning and practice sessions - but always in a friendly, relaxed and sociable environment. The host / teacher / proprietor (Alan Lamb) still feels relatively young and active, despite those dates! The Club has been 'full-time' since 1990, for 2 or 3 sessions per day (over 3 days, midweek, but with occasional events on other days), 52 weeks a year, and operates with a very 'open' and welcoming policy. 'Mixed ability' is a key description, and improvers are encouraged to any session that they can 'keep up' with, and feel comfortable at. More experienced players are welcome, provided that they themselves welcome newcomers ! Please note (May 2013) : after prolonged difficulties with the new EBU universal membership scheme, this Club has now disaffiliated. This does not affect the games at all. |
