| Origins ..... ! |

The North Cotswolds Bridge Club started in 1985/86 primarilly to provide local learning and practice sessions - but always in a friendly, relaxed and sociable environment. The host / teacher / proprietor (Alan Lamb) still feels relatively young and active, despite those dates! The Club has been 'full-time' since 1990, for 2 or 3 sessions per day (basically over 3 days midweek, but with occasional events on other days), 52 weeks a year, and operates with a very 'open' and welcoming policy. 'Mixed ability' is a key description, and improvers are encouraged to any session that they can 'keep up' with, and feel comfortable at. More experienced players are welcome, provided that they themselves welcome newcomers ! |

| Smoother 2012 ?? |
 |
Severe personal disruption (i.e. my moving home unexpectedly) has caused the postponement of 2011's Snowdon Salver, Margaret Beedham Trophy, Novice Plate, and other plans, including marking our 25th anniversary 'in style'. Ideas from members are being seriously considered though, and any events will be well publicised as soon as arranged !
