DATA PRIVACY STATEMENT - NORTH BIRMINGHAM BRIDGE CLUB LTD
On 25 May 2018 the law changed to give improved clarity and rights over personal data. We have updated our privacy policy to make it easier to understand how we use and protect your information within North Birmingham Bridge Club (NBBC).
1. Personal Data
Personal data relates to a living individual who can be readily identified from that data
The processing of such personal data is governed by the 'General Data Protection Regulation' [GDPR].
2. Your Rights
As a 'data subject' we recognise that you have rights and that we have an obligation to uphold these: This privacy notice aims to outline how we maintain these rights, in particular:-
(a) How we collect/process your information
(b) Why we do this
(c) How you can exercise your rights
(d) Who to contact in the event that you're unhappy with our performance
You have the following rights:
- To request a copy of the personal data which North Birmingham Bridge Club [NBBC] holds about you. This would be a 'Subject Access Request' termed SAR.
- To request that the Board/Committee of NBCC corrects any personal data if it is found to be either inaccurate and/or out of date.
- To request that your personal data is erased where it is considered as being no longer necessary fo NBCC to retain such data and to withdraw your consent to processing of data at any time.
3. Data Controller
The Board/Committee of North Birmingham Bridge Club [NBBC] are the data controllers. This means that they are the decision makers in how your personal data is used and for what purposes.
4. Processing of Personal Data
We keep personal data up-to-date, store it securely, destroy it securely, and take all relevant measures to protect it against loss of and/or misuse of, and unauthorised access to, such information. We use personal data to administer Club membership records and to collect monies from Members, to maintain our financial accounts, to provide information about, and to promote the interests of the Club, also to provide contact details of Officers of the Club and others with specific responsibilities.
5. Sharing Personal Data
Your personal data will be treated with the strictest confidence and will only be shared with other members of the Club in order to carry out a service to other such Members and/or for purposes connected with the Club. We will only share your data with Third Parties with your consent.
6. How Long Do We Retain Data
We retain data on the following basis:
Members Contact Details - 3 yrs after the last time of contact
Complaints - 3yrs after the resolution of the complaint
Accident Book - 5yrs from the date of the last entry
Insurance Records - Indefinitely
Club Minute Records - Indefinitely
