Saturday evening Bridge

Have you thought about playing Saturday evening bridge? All are welcome each Saturday at 7.15pm for friendly relaxed bridge .

Schedule of play

The times of the regular weekly Club duplicate sessions are as follows

Monday afternoon	1.30pm
Monday evening	7.30pm
Tuesday evening	7.30pm
Wednesday evening	7.30pm
Thursday morning	10.30am
Friday evening	7.30pm
Saturday evening	7.15pm

Players are asked to arrive at least 10 minutes before the appointed start time.

Specified Competitions for members only will replace Club sessions occasionally.

The dates of such Competitions appear in the right hand column of this page

About Us

We are a small old established friendly and independent Bridge club. We play Duplicate bridge in seven weekly sessions. Although we are not affiliated to the English Bridge Union our Bridge is played under EBU rules.

Final Competitions

The final competitions of the 2012/3 season were completed this month. Many congratulatios to Liz Addis and Avril Barker winners of the Gooden Trophy and to Haydn Shotton, Geoff Evans, Richard Vaughan and Roy Savage for their team success in the Joyce Hare Salver

Cups and trophies will be presented to all the season's winners at the Club AGM on 22 May.

Chairman's Cup and Committee Plate

Both competition titles were retained by the holders this season. Special congratulations then to Geoff Evans and Haydn Shotton winners of the Chairman's Cup and to Harvyn Hughes and Patrick Walcot winners of the Committee Plate.

Well earned break.

Teams Nights

TEAMS EVENTS will be held on the second Monday of each month at 7.30pm whenever the numbers in attendance make it possible to do so

Members are asked to arrive by 7.15pm on these evenings to facilitate a prompt start.

If the numbers attending make Teams impractical there will be a pairs duplicate session.

ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

The Annual General Meeting will be held at the Club at 7pm on Wednesday 22 May 2013. It will be followed by a shortened and free (no table money) duplicate pairs session. Please note however that Annual Subscriptions are now due.
