LESSON PLAN FOR SEPTEMBER 2016
We have successfully run EBU Year One and Year Two courses and Supported Bridge since early 2010 - the lessons are run by a qualified EBU teacher following the curriculum set out by English Bridge Union.
We run the sessions on Thursday afternoons during school terms.
This year we have a choice on what to run from mid September 2016 depending on demand - the options are:
Beginner's Lessons - learn how to bid, play and defend
or
Improver's Lessons - more advanced bidding, play and defence - suitable for those who have completed the Beginner's Course and have some playing experience
or
Supported Play - For experienced players wanting to learn more on specific subjects
or
Ad Hoc lessons on request
Beginners and Improvers lessons run over three sets of 10 weeks at a cost of £60 per set. If interested any of the four options please contact Ross Stacey or Mo Simpson (details below). To run any session we need a minimum of 4 participants - course dynamics are improved with more participants.
Bridge is a very social activity and your teachers (Ross and Mo) run the course actively encouraging and promoting the game, plus we always give individual help and advice when needed and we make sure that it is fun! Most people who attend the courses usually suceed in playing in the club.
If you are interested please let us know.

In addition to the courses we provide handouts covering four hands on a theme on the first Wednesday of the month - these can be seen on the results page on this web site . The club also runs a monthly Practise and Play session on about the third Tuesday including a hand commentary and guidance if requested.
