Club History |
Northampton Bridge Club was formed in 1962 by bridge players who met in the former Kitson's cafe in Fish Street. It moved to16 The Crescent, near the White Elephant in 1965. .In December 2019 the club moved to Owl Close in Moulton Park into a premises specifically designed for playing bridge, The club gained charitable status in late 2021.
The club meets regularly with times published on the calendar - currently (2022) - face to face Monday evenings and Wednesday afternons plus Friday aftenoon teams twice a month - on line sessions on Tuesday and Friday evenings , Evening sessions start at 7-25pm for a 7-30pm start. and afternoon session at 1-00pm . Sessions last about 3 hours . In the evenings the club runs either duplicate pairs or duplicate teams events.
New members are very welcome and encouraged . Standards at the club vary from players new to duplicate bridge to County level.
