Welcome to the new No Fear Bridge Club website and newsletter!  I hope you will like the new layout and the new improved results pages.   

The total raised for Woking Hospice from the Thursday and Friday Christmas sessions including the Thursday raffle was £660.  Thank you to everyone who supported these sessions.

I hope you had an enjoyable Christmas break despite the awful weather. We are back to normal bridge sessions on 2nd Jan with Thursday and Friday bridge.  The Monday and Wednesday sessions restart on 6th and 8th Jan.

In this month's newsletter we have the winners of the 2013 Trophies and news of classes starting in January.  Don't miss the video at the end of an old American TV bridge show,  it features Chico Marx and Mr Gerber who invented the Gerber convention!

This is ideal for someone coming back to bridge after a long break

This is last opportunity before next September for rusty or returning players to recap basic bidding sequences.

It may also be suitable for fast beginners who already know whist; ring Jean if you’re in this position.

People in this class have the option of an extra  2 ½ hour guided play session each week, based on the topic of each lesson.

This session includes both:
       1) gentle duplicate for people wanting to improve their bridge and
       2) special supervised section for learners

If you’ve been in a bridge class for at least a term and need play experience, we have a special supervised section for 1^st and 2^nd years. You can spend 2 ½ hours playing the topics you’ve learnt in class, and will get to know other people of your standard. 

For a bit of entertainment.. an old American TV bridge program from 1960.  

Can you bid the hands better than the celebrity guests?!  

Unfortunately some of the video quality is quite poor but it does get better once the bridge game starts.
