| Bridgemates & Punctuality |
 We have 16 Bridgemate II scorers and we try to use them for every pairs event. Their use makes recording results faster for everyone and provides instant results at the end of every session ..... BUT ..... because of the way that scoring systems work, it is vital that we do not activate the system until we are sure that all planning to play have arrived. So please remember to arrive at the club and make yourselves known to the director no later than 10 minutes before the scheduled session start time. We have had to turn away pairs who arrived after play has started, and we hate doing that to anyone. Please arrive on time!

More of our members play 5-card Major systems than anything else,
but you'll also meet Acol and Precision players.
Visitors unused to 5-card Majors could do worse than to look at the ABCL Standard American
Yellow Card System Booklet (8-page PDF) for a good idea of what to expect.
If you're unused to Acol, the EBU Standard English Acol System File
(56-page PDF) is comprehensive if rather longer.
