Club Competitions

Club Champion

This will be awarded to the club member that over the year achieves the most MPs awarded at Club evenings.

Team events, mixed, men’s, and ladies' events will not count.

Premier Pairs

This will be awarded to the pair that has the highest average score over the season.  Teams events, National Pairs qualifier and Club Champion Pairs evening will not count.

To qualify the pairs must play in at least 50% of evenings counted. Team events, mixed, men’s, and ladies' events will not count.

Club Pairs

The 12 pairs with the best performance up to the end of February will qualify to play in the Pairs Championship, which is played on 21st March 2016.  If a pair is unable to play then reserves will be used to make up the numbers.  If several pairs are unavailable then the number playing will be reduced.

The best performance will be the 12 pairs with the highest average over the year provided that they have played at least 12 times together.

Team events, mixed, men’s, and ladies' events will not count.

Club Pairs Plate

This will be held on the 21st March 2016. It is open to all pairs not playing in the Club Pairs.

 Club Teams

A teams evening will be held on 7th March 2016 , the winners being the club’s team champions.

 Handicap Pairs

On the 1st February 2016 the evening will also be scored with a handicap system.  Pairs will use their handicap calculated over the 2015/2016 season.  A pairs handicap is the difference between their average score for the season and 50%; i.e. a pair with an average for the season of 55% will have a handicap of 5% which will be deducted from their score on the handicap evening.

 Mixed Pairs

A competition for mixed pairs will be held on the 12th October 2015.

 Men’s & Ladies' Pairs

The Ladies' Pairs will be held on the 21st September 2015
The Men's Pairs will be held on the 28th  September 2015.  

 David Duerden Trophy

On the  11th January 2016 the winners of a normal club evening will be awarded the David Duerden Trophy.

Helen Irvine Rose Bowl
On the 6th June 2016  the winners will receive a Rose Bowl in memory of Helen Irvine.
