Parking
VERY IMPORTANT Parking Arrangements NOTICE
The owners of St Patricks Mills have informed us of New Parking Restrictions that will apply with IMMEDIATE effect and will affect our members
Mornings: Only PAID parking will be available!
This is available in the area near the entrance and also behind the Medical Centre.
A ticket from a machine (cost €1.20) TOGETHER WITH a disc or notice identifying car as belonging to a member will allow a car to be parked until 2PM
The area at the far end is now reserved for customers of the businesses in that area ONLY.
EVENINGS:
No Change to the present arrangements and members may continue to park at the far end as the businesses are not open in the evenings and hence the same demand for customer spaces doesn't apply
Paid parking also continues to be available in the area near the entrance and also behind the Medical Centre.
A ticket from a machine (cost €1.20) TOGETHER WITH a disc or notice identifying car as belonging to a member will allow a car to be parked until 2PM
Please note the club does not control the parking and anyone not complying with arrangements is at risk of being clamped!!!

but costs involved are considerable and thus the need to raise funds
You can read all about Culann at the special website setup http://culannwantstowalk.com/
Table Money will be €10 and the event is open to non members so it would be appreciated if you could

Site Access
|
Access to Results etc.
From January it is intended to limit access to results, club news etc. to members only.
This means that any member wishing to access our site, will need to be registered on it (this requires us to record their email addresses).
We are currently capturing the email addresses that we have ,but unfortunately some of the supplied ones have not been recorded correctly/clearly.
In order to ensure members are properly recognised by the site in January we would therefore appreciate it if, as many as possible of, our members would email the following information to us at themillsbridgeclub@gmail.com
a) Full Name,
b) email address
c) Contact Phone number Mobile, or Landline, or both
THANK YOU

Killarney Weekend
There has been really excellent feedback on our away weekend this year and especially so about the Dromhall Hotel and its staff.
Because they were so accommodating, and looked after us so well, we are sure that they would very much welcome positive feedback from those that attended,
be it via the Tripadvisor site, or even by email.
The links to do so (if so inclined!) are here for Tripadvisor and here for Dromhall Hotel

Handicap Adjustments
Handicaps
Over the next couple of weeks we shall be replacing the existing handicaps with a new handicap system.
It is hoped that the new system will more accurately, and more fairly, reflect grades, experience etc.
The new handicaps will mean that the following % will in future be added to the actual score achieved.
Novice 2 +8%, Novice 1 + 7%, Intermediate B2 + 6%, Intermediate B1 + 5%, A2 + 4%, A1 + 2%, Area Master + 0%
Where players from different grades play together the handicap is averaged. Intermediate B2 and A2 (6%+4%=10%/2 = 5%)

MAILING LIST
email contact?
Our site is currently attracting very high traffic of over 4,000 visits per month and about 30,000 page views (average of over 7 per visitor)
With such a high level of interest in results etc. we feel that many of our members might like to receive club news/results etc. by email
Accordingly we are now considering setting up a mailing list (depending on member demand!)
If you would be interested in receiving such emails please email us at themillsbridgeclub@gmail.com and just enter 'email' in the subject line.

Please Note that:
The Results page shows the actual ranking achieved by each pair in the selected session

2015/2016 CLUB NOTICES
Dear Members
As we enter another new Bridge Year there are a few announcements:
1. MEMBERSHIP
The Annual membership fee of €50 falls due on 1st September. Early payment would be appreciated.
2. WEB SITE ACCESS (RESULTS ETC.)
In line with many other clubs it is intended to restrict access to results and some other parts of our site to MEMBERS ONLY as from early OCTOBER
This process is fairly simple and will just mean that paid up members will be able to register to view information by providing an email address.
Further details to follow
3: COURSES
Details of forthcoming courses are listed further down on this page and also on the 'Upcoming Courses' page of this site
Finally we'd like you all to remember Con O'Donovan who passed earlier this year as we embark upon a new Bridge season/year.
Con established this club 25 years ago and his legacy of introducing thousands to the game of Bridge and very many resultant friendships lives on
Finally we'd both like to thank you very sincerely for your support in the past and to also wish you the very best of luck (and enjoyment) in the season to come
Sheila and David
