| Milford-on-Sea Bridge Club |
We are a small Bridge Club situated in the delightful village of Milford-on-Sea, which lies on the coast between Lymington and Christchurch. We play Duplicate Pairs Bridge on Monday afternoons and Wednesday evenings. After ten years at our first location, we have grown to exceed its capacity and we now play in the hall of the Baptist Church which is located in Barnes Lane, about a half mile from the centre of the village.
The club was originally set up to provide a pleasant social experience, and this remains our objective. We are not a club for "experts", indeed people familiar with larger clubs might find us rather informal. However visitors seem to find us very friendly and say how much they enjoy the experience. We have no cups to win or master points to give. The weekly result is the limit of our competitive aspirations. If this is the bridge experience you are seeking, please contact our Chairman or Secretary. Visitors are also welcome to turn up unannounced, and will almost certainly get a game. We have never turned anybody away yet.
While our club night is not suitable for absolute beginners, we have in place facilities to teach people wishing to take up the game. The club is not currently a member of the EBU.
Our weekly sub of £1 for members and £2 for visitors entitles everybody to free tea/coffee and biscuits. Can any other club match this offer?
