The committee meeting on Wednesday 8th May was fairly uneventful.
The Beginners and Improvers Classes are expected to start in early September. Michelle King will shortly have posters available and members are asked to put one on the noticeboard of any other club where they are a member. The fees will be £60 per term (£50 for club members) payable in advance.
The Club finances are okay at present, although we do need to have an average of 4.5 table per night to break-even and we only achieved 4.2 during the quarter to 31/3/19.
My term as Chairman/President ends at the AGM and I am not eligible for re-election. Many of this year's committee will also not be standing for re-election.
We need the named officers of the club and a committee to be allowed to function as a club, so I would ask you to consider what you can do for the club in the way of serving your time on your committee.
I have noticed that it is always the same people setting up and clearing away for each evening's Bridge. I would ask you to ensure that you do your fair share to keep our club going.
P.S. Can I please remind all members to put their mobile phones on silent before we start playing. Thank you.

The find a Partner facility is now working. If you want to see who is looking for a partner, just click on the NEW link on the left hand side called "Find a Partner".
The bad news is that only those members who have completed the new membership forms, available from committee members, can say that they are looking for a partner, although anyone can contact people looking for partrners.
You will first need to sign in in the members area, accessed through the link above. This requires a valid email address listed under you in the membership section.
Then you will need to set a password by clicking on the "SET/RESET PASSWORD " link.
Set your own password. WE DO NOT KNOW THIS AND CANNOT TELL YOU WHAT IT IS. Should you forget your password simply reset it using the link.
If your email address is not on the system or is possibly incorrect, you will need to get in touch with a Committee member (contact details on the information page) .
