Welcome to the Matlock Area U3A (MAU3A) Bridge Group. The purpose of our group is to play competitive, social bridge in a relaxed and enjoyable environment.
We play "Basic Acol" at an intermediate level and plan to meet at Matlock Town Football Club every Wednesday morning during 2018, apart from 16 May, commencing at 9.15am, playing through to around 12.15pm. The cost is £2.00 per week (inclusive of tea or coffee and biscuits), payable on arrival.
As around fifty members attend each week, it is regretted that we cannot accept additional players. However, our Coordinator does keep a "Waiting List” and should be contacted for details. For more information about our group and MAU3A, please click here.
Following yet another successful few days at Cober Hill, a provisional reservation has been made for 2019.
So make a note in your diary, Monday May 15 - Wednesday May 17. Should you wish to extend your stay and arrive on Sunday, that will be possible. More details will appear here as soon as we have them...
Matlock Area U3A was formed in November 2007. Currently we have over 600 members, who may attend one or more of 40 "interest groups" of varying disciplines ranging from Art Appreciation to Walking. Our Bridge Group was formed in the same year and we recently celebrated our 10th Birthday!

Membership of the University of the Third Age is not related to a specific age but to a period in one's life (the third age) after the second age of full-time employment and parental responsibility. Anyone in their third age can join the U3A, including people who are working part-time. There is no lower age limit for membership.
