Welcome to the Matlock Area U3A (MAU3A) Bridge Group web site. The purpose of our group is to play competitive, social bridge in a relaxed and enjoyable environment.

We play "Basic Acol" at an intermediate level and will meet at Matlock Town Football Club every Wednesday morning during 2016, apart from 11 May, commencing at 9.15am, playing through to 12.30pm. The cost is £2.00 per week (inclusive of tea or coffee and biscuits), payable on arrival.

Matlock Area U3A was formed in November 2007. Currently we have around 550 members, who may attend one or more of over 40 "interest groups" of varying disciplines ranging from Art Appreciation to Walking.

Membership of the University of the Third Age is not related to a specific age but to a period in one's life (the third age) after the second age of full-time employment and parental responsibility.  Anyone in their third age can join the U3A, including people who are working part-time.  There is no lower age limit for membership.
