| MONDAY GAMES SUSPENDED! |
We are short two players for duplicate today. GAME IS CANCELLED.
Four out of the last five Monday games have been cancelled. Granted, many people have left for their winter retreats, but there are still plenty of players around the Manchester area, certainly enough for a 3-table game. There just isn't a commitment to "bridge first." You all know that's how I feel about the game!
The reality of the situation is that we have reserved space at the First Congregational Church. Cancelling an hour or two before the game has become a factor. On the personal side, we are confident we can find something better to do every Sunday and Monday morning than having to deluge you with emails and make phone calls coaxing and begging people to play. That has become very old, very taxing and downright humiliating.
It pains me to do this, but Monday games are suspended until May, 2017.
Thanks to those VERY LOYAL players - friends! - who, come hell or high water, manage to schedule their appointments and shuttle their business so they can attend the Monday games, and to those "commuters" who call me as soon as their feet hit Vermont turf. With your help, I will continue to run a Friday game.
Frustrated to say the least!
Bob (and Patti, too)

All MMDBC Games will now be played at First Congregational Church, 3624 Main Street, Manchester Village, across from the Equinox Hotel.
Parking is behind the church. There are marked handicap parking spaces.
Please do not park in the Pastor's designated parking space.
After entering the doors, proceed up staircase to the main social room.
If you require, there is an elevator. Games will begin at the usual time, 12:30.
At this time of year, when the games are smaller, it is important that we know IN ADVANCE
if you plan to attend or need a partner, so we can meet the 3-table minimum requirement for duplicate.
If you expect to play or need a partner,
please call Bob at 362-4224 or email pathomes@comcast.net.
