CURRENT ACTIVITIES FOR INTERMEDIATE PLAYERS

Manchester Bridge Club organises activities for players who are keen to improve and currently come to supervised play classes, the supervised intermediate duplicate or play in the lower divisions of the Manchester League.

There are a number of ongoing activities:-

Monday Evening Duplicate (7.30pm)

(Club Night )

Wednesday Evening Duplicate (7.30pm)

(Club Night )

Thursday Evenings - Swiss Pairs (7.30pm)

Swiss Pairs is suitable for all standards of play as after the first round pairs are matched against players of a similar standard. It's great fun and a good way for less experienced players to have the chance to play with more expert people and gain confidence.

(See calendar on the home page for the week to week detailed information)

...........and NEW FOR 2016 is the JOHN BIRD MEMORIAL CUP. This new competition will now be run annually from January through to the end of May each year where the pair with the best 12 scores over the period will be the winners!

............and the Merton Cantor Cup which runs from October through to the end of December - best 7 individual results!
