Newcomers League started on 2nd February

The first Newcomers League Evening was 2nd February.

Together with the Manchester Country Bridge Association we held teams practice sessions during November, December and January.  We aim to encourage and help learners and improvers who are not yet in a league team to become part of a new team and to help them with gain some experience of playing in teams events ready to enter the main league next season.  In February, March, April and May,  the Newcomers Teams League will take place on the first Thursday in each month.  This is a competition for the new teams formed over the last few months who are not playing in this seasons league and will give valuable experience ready for the next season.

If you are a current learner or improver and/or attending supervised play classes these sessions will be of particular relevance to you.  Over 500 players already participate each year in the MCBA Teams' League.  It gives you a great opportunity to meet and play against players of other clubs and is really enjoyable.   Team mates and partners will always be found for you so if you are not currently in a team but would like to be - get in touch and we'll find team mates for you.
