Lyppard Bridge Club is a contract bridge club based in the Lyppard Grange Community Centre of Warndon Villages in Worcester UK.

It welcomes bridge players for a pleasant social evening of duplicate contract bridge on Fridays: 19:00 - 22:30 hrs. There are usually at least 7 tables in play.

Newcomers and visitors are welcome but we do not offer lessons. The club operates a host system to accommodate those who need a partner. Most people play a simple version of the Acol system: Weak No trump, Stayman, and Blackwood.

The Bridge Club meets most Friday Evenings at The Lyppard Grange Community Centre, which is  situated to the East of Worcester in the heart of Warndon Villages.

The address is Ankerage Green, Warndon Villages, Worcester WR4 0DZ, and the Centre's phone number is 01905 616841. This number can be used if you require directions, or need to leave an Urgent Message for someone in the Club.

Play starts at 7pm, so you need to arrive by 6:45 to give yourself time to park (the car park gets very busy on Friday evenings), to register, and to prepare for playing.

Whilst the essence of our club is to enjoy a social game of bridge on a Friday evening with our friends, we acknowledge that there is also an element of competition within the game, which is why we publish the results on the website every week.

In addition, we now also reveal a league table to show how pairs are doing over a period of time.

Simply click on the 'competitions' option in the menu on the left of this article.  This shows a league table of the games played this year (commencing 1st September 2015) and it shows the average of the best 12 scores for each pair during this time.

Remember, this is only for fun - there are no prizes, but maybe it will give you an opportunity to see how your performance is improving over time!

Mavis Workman will be contacting members to act as Hosts, to ensure that there is always a Host available on a Friday evening.

Remember that if everyone takes a turn, it need only be once a year!
