County Championships 2012

Various members took part in the 'pairs' and 'team ' events at Festival Hall, Market Rasen on 28th and 29th April. A good time was had by all! There were some excellent results for Louth -

Mike Waters & David Page excelled by coming top in the pairs qualifying round
Bill and Charles finished 6th in the 'Consolation' pairs
In the teams event, Mike Water's team finished in 2nd place in the 'Consolation' final
Our Chairman enjoyed playing with Bill in the teams event !!

Champion Pairs League


The CPL League matches have now been completed for 2011 - with Charles and Mike finishing in 3rd place! An excellent result for Louth Duplicate Bridge Club.

Louth Duplicate Bridge Club

We meet on Monday and Wednesday evenings at 6.50pm at the Louth & District Indoor Bowls Club. The club is affiliated to the EBU and to the Lincs CBA.

We are a friendly club and would like to encourage new Members to join us. Our Monday sessions are less formal and we welcome players of all levels to join in, especially those who are newer to the game and less experienced....we aim to provide a friendly atmosphere in which new players can feel at ease.

Improvers Classes

Improvers classes will resume again in September. We are pleased to have welcomed several members from these classes to club sessions. For details of opportunities to play bridge during the summer,, or for any further information on the imporvers sessions please contact Martin Sizer (01507 602249).

These sessions take place at Elizabeth Court on Tuesday evenings - starting at 18:45. Cost is £2.50 per person which includes set hands, play and refreshments.

Everyone welcome to attend these enjoyable sessions - no partners required.

Dates for your diary!

This year the club will be running various different events including 'Individual ' competition nights, 'Seeded Pairs' night, SIM Pairs events and, of course, the annual Summer and Christmas party nights. Refer to the Calendar section for dates. The committee will appreciate members supporting these events.

Andrew Robson Masterclass 15th January, 2013

This event was so popular last year that Andrew is returning on January 15th, 2013 to hold another 'Masterclass'. This event will take place at Louth Golf Club - parking, refreshments and bar will be available.Tickets £12 (Martin Sizer 01507 602249)

Bridge Club - Holiday in Warwickshire

In April, Louth Duplicate Bridge Club members went on a bridge holiday to Warwickshire.

We hope that this becomes an annual event on our calendar so if you have any suggestions as to where we can go next year, please pass these ideas on to a member of the committee.
