A reminder of Law 74 of the 'Laws of Duplicate Bridge'.

1. Players should maintain a courteous attitude at all times.

2. Players should carefully avoid any remark or action that might cause annoyance or embarrassment to other players or might interfere with the enjoyment of the game.

a. Do not argue with or be disrespectful to your partner.

b. Never criticize your opponent’s bidding or play.

Engage with your opponent's, don't ignore them, drift off and discuss the hand with your partner.

Entry Fee £5 each player
(to be collected in cash at the table)

This is actually a Teams event.  Pre-set hands are played as teams of four and your score is compared with that of imaginary expert partners.  The result will be a N/S winner and an E/W winner.

There will be a mid-session break for those who wish to bring a packed lunch. Tea, coffee and biscuits will be available FOC.

For this event it is vital that we have an even number of pairs, so entries may be closed earlier than the official deadline when we have a suitable number. If you have entered but are unable to play, please inform us ASAP. Queries etc. to rodney@bridgenotes.co.uk.

GARDEN CITIES REGIONAL FINALS 2024

A team from Louth Duplicate Bridge Club represented Lincolnshire in the regional finals of the Garden Cities held in Stamford on the 11th May 2024.  The players involved were Rodney Mitchell, Glyn Jackson, Kiat Huang, Mike Waters, Mark Wardell, Jackie Pfister, Mary Jo Mangion and Janice Troughton.   Although the team did not qualify for the final they were great representatives of both LDBC and Lincolnshire.
