Bd 20: Roman Key Card Blackwood=Grand Slam

This hand shows the power of Roman Key-Card Blackwood

1 is enough by South to start with. It's forcing and North's rebid should help South decide the right level of ambition for the hand

When North shows at least four Spades then South can go straight to 4NT (Roman Key Card Blackwood asking how many Key Cards Partner - the four Aces and the KIng of Trumps)

North's 5♠ shows two of the five Key Cards (which must be the  A and the ♠ K) plus the ♠ Q (Queen of Trumps)

5NT by South asks North to bid the lowest King she may have

Once South discovers North has the  K, and knowing she has five Diamonds (by her choice of opening bid, assuming 4-card Majors), then South can bid 7♠  with confidence.

If North has ♣ Q or  K then 7♠ is cold. Even if neither of these come true then it depends on a 50-50 finesse.
