At the AGM held on Tuesday 3rd November 2009, it was decided by the membership to reinstate a club rule that a draw for polarity should be made prior to play starting. This will apply at all club sessions unless a Howell movement is determined and will also apply to SIMS events.

In the event that some people are physically unable to move and wish to sit North/South they must make that known to the Director who will attempt to accommodate their wish within the chosen movement. Otherwise, one N/S player and one E/W player must cut the cards and whoever draws the higher card may choose which direction to sit.

Anybody arriving late and needing to set up a new table must also cut cards (with the Director) to determine where they sit. In the event of there being a half table the Director can determine the pair sit E/W if that makes a share and relay movement work better.

Your membership subscription of £5 became due on 1st October 2009. Please return your your payment to the Treasurer. Non-renewed membership by 31st December 2009 will lapse and will involve a payment of £10.

Please note that table money (since 1st Dec 2006) is now £1.50 for members and £2.50 for non-members.
