Hand of The Week

OK we feel 4 years is long enough for 'Squeezed in 3 suits' to be Hand of the Week.

So please see two new example challenges in this section of the website, taken from Thursday, 4th August.

We hope to put some interesting hands in this section from time to time, they are aimed at the typical club player who wants to get better. If you have any nominations please let us know.

New - Tournament Director's Refresher Course

The EBU will be providing a Tournament Director's (TD) refresher course at Lincoln Club on Sunday, 11th September at 11am to 4pm.

It is ideal for all current TDs and those thinking of becoming a TD in the near future. However it is not a substitute for attending the full EBU TD training modules, which are available to book via EBU website, and the Club will support any member wishing to go down this route.

Members of Lincoln Club will only be charged a nominal fee (@£5) towards refreshments and the venue cost. Members of other clubs are also welcome to find out more please contact chrisphillips959@sky.com

NEW - County Competitions 2016.17

Please find the County Competitions calendar for the coming season by clicking on this Link, or visiting the Lins Bridge website. (Note the event on 11th December will be at a different venue to Lincoln TBC.)

There are a number of important things to note including that the Championship events of Pairs & Teams will take place over separate weekends this year and also that there is a new Swiss Pairs events in the calendar.

The 1st event of the year, Swiss Teams, is fast approaching on Sunday 25th September. This is usually a well-supported and enjoyable competition held at Scunthorpe Bridge Club starting at 11.30.

Also make mention that there are 2 separate Teams of Four competitions, the Lincs Gold and the Lincs League which run through the season. These usually are no more than a handful of matches in total played in people's homes.

Please support as many of these events as you can, they are generally enjoyable and not too time-demanding.

All events should be entered in advance via the contact details on the website, or you can contact Chris Phillips who can enter on your behalf if needed.

How to help your Bridge Club

The Club always needs people to help run our bridge sessions. Members are asked if they can be available to train in dealing, computer scoring, or TD training. Please let a Committee member know if you can help. We especially need more volunteers for Mondays especially computer scoring, you will be helped to learn!
