NEW - Morning Bridge

Members who took part in a questionnaire last year will be interested to note that plans to trial a morning bridge for friendly, social, duplicate bridge are agreed following a positive response from the membership.

These will commence on Friday morning, March 2nd, starting at 10.30am, Please see the website and notice boards for details, please add your name to the list if you intend coming along.

Light refreshments available and visitors will be warmly welcome and encouraged and partners can be found where needed. Bridge will be low-tech, initially no Bridgemates and inexperienced players can bring notes to help in the session. No masterpoints will be involved at this stage.

This is an important initiative for the future of our club, please give it a try.

NEW - Sim Pairs

The first Sim Pairs of 2018 will be the Charity Challenge Cup on Thursday 8th March.

This year the proceeds will go to the RNLI, a most worthwhile cause I'm sure you'll all agree.

Entry for members and visitors is £5.

Note that the Children in Need Sim Pairs raised nearly £75,000 in 2017 so your support helps make a difference. This year should see the amount raised since the event started going over £1m, let's make sure we do our bit in November!

NEW - Mobile Phones

All members of the club are politely reminded that the use of mobile phones in the clubroom during bridge sessions, whether for active use, texting or just reading content, is not allowed except for absolute emergencies.

Members needing to make calls should use the bar, or outside the clubroom, during play. Prior to play starting, or after the last hand has been played, is perfectly acceptable as long as used discreetly.

Please adhere to these sensible guidelines for the benefit of all.

Looking for a Bridge partner?

Are you looking for a bridge partner for a particular occasion, or interested in finding a more long-term partnership?

Or a visitor looking for a one-off game?

Are you aware that both Elaine Proctor (01522 878059) and Janet Collins (01636 702030) are happy to try and help for any Lincoln sessions? Even if your regular partner is away, why not play with someone else? More pairs ensure every bridge session is better attended and more enjoyable for all.

Give Elaine or Janet a call or send an email.

How to help your Bridge Club

The Club always needs people to help run our bridge sessions. Members are asked if they can be available to train in dealing, computer scoring, or TD training. Please let a Committee member know if you can help. We especially need more volunteers for Mondays especially computer scoring, you will be helped to learn!
