LEWES BRIDGE CLUB COMPETITION RULES

TUESDAY PAIRS LADDER

This event will run from April to February on the 1^st Tuesday of each month. All pairs need to play a minimum of 6 sessions to qualify. You are allowed to play with substitutes but only 1 of those results may count towards your final score and will not count if the pair has completed 6 or more sessions. The winners will be the pair with the lowest overall score from their best 6 sessions.

TUESDAY AND THURSDAY HANDICAP PAIRS

The winners will be the pair with the highest score after adjusting for the handicap. For a regular pair (a pair who have completed at least 3 sessions together) the handicap will be calculated on the basis of their average score in the year to date as shown on the club website. For a pair who do not play together regularly their handicap will be calculated on their individual score to date. So if individual A has an average score of 46% and individual B an average score of 48%, then the handicap for pair A and B playing together will be +4 and +2 divided by 2 which equals +3. Players with an average score of over 50% will receive a minus handicap.

TUESDAY AND THURSDAY CHAMPIONSHIP PAIRS

The winners of each event will be the pair with the best cumulative score over the 2 sessions.
