The EBU have just introduced a new law book which will come into effect at Lane End from the start of September. From a player’s point of view, there are no changes to the playing or scoring of the game, so you can essentially continue to play your familiar game and allow the Director to worry about dealing with any irregularities that arise. The changes are mostly clarifications but there are a few changes to quite common Club Night problems that players would gain from being aware of. Click for further details.

We pride ourselves on being a friendly club, welcoming players of all standards, in particular we take pains to help less experienced players.
There is a host system so you can be sure of a game.
A prompt start, courtesy, quietness and consideration are the standards we seek to maintain at all times.
We ask players to be seated at least five minutes before these times.
The table money is £2.50 for members and £3.50 for Non-Members.
This includes refreshments that we are regularly told are some of the
'Best in Bucks'.
The A-Team has now played all of its matches and has finished in second place in Division 3 of the League. That means it should be promoted to Division 2 next season. Members of the A-Team were Mick & Derek (Captain), David & Graham, Margaret & Rene and Liz & Ched. Well done.
The B-Team is currently 3rd in Division 4, with 1 away match still to play. Results have been mixed (3 wins; 5 losses; 1 draw). The Team is well served by a squad of 11 players - Bob (Captain), Dick, Tony, Pippa, Lesley, John H, Madeleine, Chantal, Sue, Barrie and Roger.
Please DO NOT park down the path opposite to the cottages as we are annoying the residents. There is plenty of parking by the Church.
Also Please DO NOT use the Disabled Parking Spaces unless you do have a disability.
