The Annual General Meeting has come and gone and we now have a new committee ready to face the joys and challenges of the next 12 months.

We say farewell to Kerrie Stein as Vice President and welcome Trevor Brown in that role. We also welcome Di Tait as Masterpoint secretary. 

Yvonne (president) Hans Tiller (secretary) and Pam Ingham (treasurer, Public Officer) earn our thanks for returning to the committee as do Caroline Carey (webmaster), Kerrie Stien (head Director) Dianne Noon (functions officer), Diann Miller (welfare) and Anne and Allen Fletcher as committee members. We wish them well and thank them for their dedication to making Lake Macquarie Bridge Club shine!!

Two Lake Macquarie teams entered for the first time in a Hunter Regional GNOT final on 27 August held at Newcastle Bridge Club rooms in Broadmeadow.

We all enjoyed a lovely lunch today courtesy of Lake Macquarie Bridge Club (Thank you!) provided by Club Macquarie (Thank you!). 

It was particularly special this year as it coincided with a milestone anniversary for one of our lovely members - Maureen Elliott.

30 years ago, on this day, Maureen awoke from a successful heart/lung transplant operation. She is the longest living Australian transplant recipient.

We're proud of you Maureen - thank you for sharing this personal experience with us all today.  We also pay tribute to the family of your donor all those years ago.
