Rules for Open Trophy
  • Individual competition open to all KLTC Bridge Club members as at the beginning of the calendar year
  • Winner is the person scoring the greatest total of red and green ABF Masterpoints:
    • from the start of the calendar year to the end of November
    • while playing in KLTC Bridge Club duplicate sessions (but not supervised sessions, interclub events or other trophy events)
    • including all points for gained for single sessions but not including any additional points gained for multiple session events (eg Jim Borin Trophy)
    • excluding sessions played with partners who are (i) not KLTC Bridge Club members as at the beginning of the calendar year; or (ii) Directors of that session​
  • No restriction on the number of sessions played
  • Trophy shared in the event of a tie
  • Winner as determined by Terry Crawford and independently verified by a Committee member
  • Trophy presented at the Christmas dinner (and reprised at KLTC Champions' Dinner in May 2017)
Rules for Penny Purbrick Trophy
  • Individual competition restricted to those who (i) are KLTC Bridge Club members at the beginning of the calendar year, (Ii) have fewer than 50 ABF Masterpoints at the beginning of the calendar year, and (iii) have not previously won the trophy
  • Winner is the person scoring the greatest total of red and green ABF Masterpoints:
    • from the start of the calendar year to the end of November
    • while playing in regular KLTC Bridge Club duplicate sessions (but not supervised sessions, interclub events or other  trophy events)
    • excluding sessions played with partners who (i) are not KLTC Bridge Club members as at the beginning of the calendar year; (ii) have more than 50 ABF Masterpoints at the start of the calendar year; or (iii) are Directors of that session​
  • No restriction on the number of sessions played
  • Trophy shared in the event of a tie
  • Winner as determined by Terry Crawford and independently verified by a Committee member
  • Trophy presented at the KLTC Bridge Club's Christmas dinner
