Retiring President Ian Cook gave thanks to the committee members for their support during his time in office and hoped that the work started to regain some of the clubs former reputation would be continued during the new presidents reign.
New President John Laird thanked him for his invaluable contribution to bridge in the Kirkcaldy area in particular and further a-field in the bridge world.generaly.  It was hoped that he would continue to be available to assist the club in some future projects. 
'Friendly but competitive bridge' maybe this should be our slogan? Or perhaps 'Competitive Bridge with a Smile'?!
It's particularly pleasing that Enid Allan, John Edmunds, Mike Gallagher, Pat Cook, Sheila Laird will continue with their present positions and we welcome Alison Carmichael and Phyllis Whyte as new committee members.
As Summer Bridge starts next week we hope that others may be encouraged to come along and have a go... We all Hope so!

Despite call offs for holidays SUMMER BRIDGE maintains its FLYING START

If you want to test your partnership or harden up your system understanding this is the time to do it!
Newcomers to bridge may like to try their skills against some experienced players or come along to look over the shoulders of others to see if they 'fancy their chances'.
