The King's Lynn team of Mary Kingdon, Peter Lofting, Valerie and Brian Barrett have been drawn against a very strong Cambridge 'A' team. The match is to be played on Tueasday 24 March. Could there just be a shock?!

Success for King's Lynn Pair

Congratulations to Jane Aylett and Peter Ison for winning the Norfolk Championship Pairs for the Hudson Cup with a score of 60%. They now qualify for the national Corwen Trophy.  competition. We wish them well in this prestigious event.


This trophy is awarded to the member who wins the most Master Points in all sessions played in the year 1 July to 30 June. The Peter Clarke Trophy is awarded to the runner-up. The holders are Mike Whiting and Trish Foster respectively.

Welcome to West Norfolk & King's Lynn Bridge Club

West Norfolk and King's Lynn Bridge Club was formed in December 1945 and is affiliated to the English Bridge Union and the Norfolk Contract Bridge Association. We meet on Monday and Thursday evenings at the South Wootton Village Hall, a bright modern building which can comfortably fit up to 15 tables.

We welcome visitors and strive to provide friendly and relaxed evenings when players compete fairly and courteously. We support fully the "Best Behaviour at Bridge" code introduced by the English Bridge Union which is set out on the General Information page.


The Whitemore Trophy has been won by Tony Graham and Michael Whiting who beat Trish Foster and Mary Kingdon in the final. Congratulations to them.

The draw for the semi-final of the Jubilee Plate is as follows: -

Mike and Sue O'Brien V. Beth Brereton and Elena Wallace

Howard Marshall and Tam Payne V. Mark and Sue Keightley.

The contestants are asked to arrange these matches which must, however, be played no later than Monday 16 March. They should note that the matches may be played on the same evening as other competitions such as the Diaper Trophy heats.


The Club's Charity Night.

The Charity evening was a great success and enjoyed by all. Many thanks to everybody who supported the event which raised £200 Quidenham Children's Hospice.

A teams of four event was played for the June Scotting Trophy andwas won by the team of Michael Whiting, David Loasby, Trish Foster and Tony Graham Congratulations to them and to the committee for providing a very pleasant evening.
