Strategy for the Future of the EBU and Duplicate Bridge in England
The proposal "Strategy for the Future of the EBU and Duplicate Bridge in England" is now available (click here). The central pull out section of the April issue of English Bridge "You and the EBU"is also available.
Brian Crack has arranged a final consultation with Kent club representatives on Saturday, May 17th, to be held at Shorne Village Hall, commencing with a buffet lunch. He will be sending invitations to club secretaries in due course, but please make a note of this in your diaries now. We hope that all Kent clubs will be represented as this is a very important decision that needs to be taken. Those clubs supporting the proposals should not rely on the fact that they have indicated their support to mean they need not attend. Equally, those clubs against the proposals should ensure that their voice is heard. This brings the consultation period to an end and a vote on the future will be taken at an Extraordinary General Meeting of the EBU to be held on Wednesday, June 4th.
However, if you need clarification on any aspect of the proposal please do not hesitate to contact the EBU at strategy@ebu.co.uk.
