CHANGE OF NAME

The Kenley Bridge Club was formerly known as the Knaves Bridge Club.

*** 40th ANNIVERSARY EVENT ***
A Pairs event was held on Monday 27 March 2017 to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the founding of the Club.  The event was attended by original, current and past members.  In 1977 eight newly trained bridge players were having difficulty in finding a club happy to take on 8 beginners. Their solution was to form a Bridge Club of their own and so was born the Knaves Bridge Club.  Meeting originally at the British Legion in Whyteleafe, the club quickly outgrew the premises and moved to the Kenley Sports Club where the club continues to thrive as the Kenley Bridge Club.  Three of the founding members are still involved in the running of the club: Chairman Brain Adlam, Reva Petipierre and Vivien Adlam, and their achievement was acknowledged by special guest Trevor Hobson, Chairman of SCBA.
