Saturday morning 10 am till 12 noon

You do not need a partner as there is a host.

Everyone welcome especially non members.

JUST TURN UP.

£5 a session
Novice Duplicate session Tuesday afternoons. £5 per session

1:30pm start to 3:30pm (with tea/coffee from1pm ). There will be a host so you don't need a partner, just turn up.

These sessions are aimed at all players who want to move into playing in regular club duplicate sessions. 

There will be experienced club players present to provide a little support if needed.

Tuesday morning results are now final

The Charity event held on 29th March raised a fantastic £1828 for Myton Hospices.   

Thank you to everyone who attended, and a huge well done to all the organisers especially Pat Taylor and Julia Harper.

This is a easiest way to find a partner in club or online. 
KBC/KCC Parking

The Cricket Club owns the property and we lease our part of the building and share the use of the car park. Now sessions are becoming busier,  we do need to remember the parking rules and ensure that we park with due consideration for other users. Usually the parking arrangements for KBC members should be as follows 

  1. First arrivals to park up to the fence line adjacent to the new housing
  2. The next row (and subsequent rows)  must be parked hard up to the first row. Do not leave space for vehicle movements. It is not necessary as we all leave at the same time .
  3. Emergency vehicle access to our front door should be maintained at all times.  Do not park in such a way as to obstruct this.
  4. Leave access clear to the parking spaces for those with disabilities.

Finally and importantly

  1. Please do not park on the grass
  2. Please do not park against the walls of the Cricket club

Occasionally there may be a need for a different parking arrangement and if that is the case someone will be there to direct you.

Sessions for Everyone

Whether you're a complete beginner, a social player, or a seasoned competitor, we offer sessions to suit you. We run 5 regular duplicate sessions in club per week, with a warm welcome guaranteed, and we also host two evening online sessions each week on BBO so you can join from the comfort of your own home. We also run Novice duplicate and regular social play sessions.

Expert Tuition

We have three fully qualified teachers on hand, offering lessons for every level—from absolute beginners to advanced players looking to refine their strategies. Our classes are engaging, supportive, and designed to help you grow your skills while having fun.

Saturday morning Social Play

We run a Saturday morning social play session. Everyone welcome especially non members.  Please just turn up no mater how experienced you are. We have a host available so you don’t need a partner. £5 per session.

Novice Duplicate Session.

Our Novice duplicate session on Tuesdays at 1.30pm to 3.30pm are for players who want to experience club duplicate sessions but with a little help from more experienced players.

Our dedicated premises provide a comfortable, well-equipped setting with ample parking for members and visitors. Refreshments are served at most of our in-club sessions, making it the perfect place to relax, chat with friends, and enjoy the game.

Brian Hillery

Brian Hillery passed away in his sleep on 19th March aged 97. Brian joined the club around 1989. Anyone playing against him from 1990 to 2018 would know he was a serious player and it was a rare year at the AGM to find him not winning at least one trophy. In that 28 year period he had 2 fallow years but in the remaining 26 he won 44 trophies with various partners. Had there been a trophy for biscuit eating during the break this number would surely have grown.

His greatest triumph playing with his regular partner David Walker came in 1993 with victory on the national stage in the EBU Seniors Congress Pairs. After 2018 failing eye sight, hearing & health curtailed his success. He did return after the Covid years for a while on Wednesday afternoons until his eyesight problem unfortunately brought his bridge career to an end.
Apart from bridge he was a seriously knowledgeable wine buff.

His funeral will take place at 2:30pm on Thursday 16th April at Oakley Woods Crematorium and afterwards at The Leopard in Bishop's Tachbrook.
