The Carson Cup takes place on Pairs nights on Thursdays in September, October and November (as shown in the calendar).

The cup is awarded to the pair with the highest average of their four best percentage scores.

Both players must be members before play starts for a result to count.

The Ellis Cup is a competition for teams of 4 players.

The leading two eligible teams in the September Teams evening qualify for the semi-final.

The leading two eligible teams in the October Teams evening (excluding those who qualified in September) qualify for the semi-final.

The semi-final and final are played on the first Thursday in November.

The semi-final consists of 12 boards. The higher placed September qualifier plays the lower placed October qualifier and vice versa.

The winners of the two semi-final matches play in the final which consists of 14 boards (unless both captains request 12).
The losers play a 12-board consolation final.

Note: To be eligible, all members of a team must be full club members before play starts. If a team member is unable to play in the November final for good reason, a substitute (who has not already played in the competition) is allowed. Members are not allowed to play for more than one team. If one of the qualifying teams is unable to play in the final, the next most successful eligible team will play.

The Summer Cup is a Pairs competition which started in January 2015.

Qualifying rounds take place on 18 Thursday Pairs evenings from mid-January to mid-June as shown in the calendar. The average of the best 6 scores will provide a qualifying score. The 10 pairs with the best qualifying scores play in the final to be played in June.

All other players with a qualifying score will compete for the Summer Plate to be played on the same date in June.

The Summer Plate is a Pairs competition.

Since 2009 it has taken place once a month from January to July inclusive on the Thursday where Butler scoring (i.e. IMPs) is used.

The Summer Plate is awarded to the pair with the highest average of their four best percentage scores.
