 On Oct 29 we will be hosting a special <100 MP Sectional at the Regent. Due to space and other factors this Sectional will be extremely limited. We are going to expand to allow the one pair on the waiting list into the tournament. Now we will have 8 1/2 tables in the tournament.
With the addition of a 1/2 table, we will add a "sit out" for each round. Since we now have a 9th table, we will not have a "skip" in the movement. In each session there will be 8 rounds of 3 boards -- 24 board sessions As much as possible, we will have every pair have one set out during the day. This is only a goal. If there are any changes before the tournament, we will make minor changes to meet any entry changes.
With this addition to 17 pairs, we will stratafy so that 4 top seeded pairs will be in "A" strata. The next 4 seeded pairs will be in the "B" strata. The last 9 will be in the "C" strata. These positions will be based on the average Master Points for each pair. As of this time A will be about 50-100 average B will be about 25 - 50 and C will be averages below 50 Master Points.
Tournament start time is 9:00 AM at the Regent 2050 N. Webb, 2nd floor. The buffet will be served after the first session and the 2nd session will begin after the luncheon.
Registration fees for this even are $18.00 a person. This will cover the bridge costs for both sessions along with the luncheon from the Regent.
At the present time (as of the date of this newsletter) we have all 17 pairs reserved. If you wish to be added to a waiting list, please let me know.
