Club History
Formation

The club was first inaugurated in 1978 and began playing at Hutton Primary School. Since then we have moved to a number of different venues over the years:

1983 Marillac

1985 Brentwood School

1999 Hedley Walter School

2004 Brentwood County High

2008 Hedley Walter School

2012 Becket Keys School

In late 2016 for the first time in it's history the club introduced a second session, 'Friendly First Wednesdays', a monthly session which was intended to encourage newer players into the club and bridge in general. Following the warm reception of these nights and the sad loss of another local bridge club, St. Edith's Lane, we opened our doors on every Wednesday in 2017 so the club then had two regular sessions weekly.

In early 2018 the club began a trainning program at Hutton Community Centre and toward the end of that year inaguated another regular session. Also at the trainning venue this was an afternoon 'Play and Learn' session aimed at completing the ladder from student through beginner and improver to full duplicate sessions, thus the club could appeal to all levels of players in at least one of it's regular sessions.

With the help of Eric Field, Dennis Valtisiaris and a number of other members we are currently compiling a short history of the club to display here. We expect this to take a little while but please check back again.
