| Friendly First! |
We are pleased to invite you to the our new monthly sessions to be held on the first Wednesday of every month at the club’s venue. The session will be known as ‘Friendly First Wednesdays’ and is aimed at new/er or returning players, improvers, new partnerships, players who may be a little rusty or anyone looking for a friendly game. The session will be open to all although experienced players will be expected to be especially tolerant and welcoming on these Wednesdays.
All these sessions will have hand records with occasional experienced member feedback.

This Autumn, the ECBA are continuing with their popular program of seminars "The Secrets of the Grandmasters" presented by Grandmaster Marc Chawner:
Saturday Nov 12th: Teams Tactics
This session is to be held at Barleylands with a start time of 14:00 and should finish around 17:00. The cost is £5 per person with payment on the door (please note that Teams Tactics is free to T4 Friendly League squads).

| Hutton Clean Sweep! |
 With 'previous' in the Club Pairs Dave Brace did his level best to retain his title, this time playing with Linda Fleet, by pushing the victors of the event all the way with a splendid 59.62%. While we offer our commiserations to them we are delighted to also acknowledge those winners as our very own Sandra Fenton and Roger Bacon! Their partnership in our Friendly League Team clearly stood them in good stead as they led from start to finish with a magnificent 62.74%, naturally with the top two pairs Hutton were also the winning club in the event - a clean sweep!
Our other two pairs also gained valuable experience and achieved reasonable results both beating at least one Essex County Squad pairing, really a red letter day for the club! So a most sincere very well done and thank you to all those representing us!

| Movers and Shakers! |
The Club is very pleased to see recent Master Point promotions for members:
Sept: This month Lorraine achieved the 2* Premier Tournament rank with Tony reaching the rank of Master.
July: Most notably Tara & Jagdish have taken the first step on the ladder as Local Masters, we're very happy with that while Dave W reached the very impressive 4* Tournament Master rank.
June: Brenda achieved the Advanced Master rank.
May: Jurek achieved the 5* Master rank.
