2016 News
2016 AGM Chairman's Report

Chairman's Report for Hull Bridge Club AGM 11th May 2016

The Chairman thanked the Committee members and officers for their assistance in running the club throughout the year.

David Wilson had run several events, organised the Yorkshire Teams of 8 program and worked with Mark Ballantine to bring in and train people on the Bridgemates and Scorebridge system. Mark has worked on the website and kept the computer system functioning. David and Mark were thanked for their work.

The Directors running events were thanked for their continuing assistance.

The Yorkshire League Teams of 8 had a poor season as the first and second teams were relegated from their divisions and the third team just failed to get promotion.

The Committee had continued to improve the decor of the club.

Bridgemates had been introduced and the Committee was expecting to introduce Duplimated boards at Monday sessions once competence with the equipment was achieved.

The water leak problem over Christmas has been repaired. Yorkshire water wrote off the excess water costs and a claim has been made against our insurance policy to recover repair costs. Completion of this claim is awaited.

Frank Smith

Chairman  (11/5/16)

Amendment.

The Yorkshire leagues 2nd team remain in their 2015 League and the 3rd team were promoted.
