Gary Putman and his partner (Peter Cotes) finished 3rd in the Norfolk Cup Final (Norfolk Championship Pairs)

John King & Bridget Starkings finished 3rd in the Open Pairs

Bridget Starkings and her partner (Andrew Brown) finished 4th in the Kings Lynn Shield (the ‘B’ Final of the Norfolk Championship Pairs)

Bogdan Drobny and his team mates (Maureen Kimbley, Richard & Fleur Waters) finished 4^th in the Neville Hill Cup (Swiss Teams)

Hoveton & District Bridge Club held its annual spring lunch and duplicate bridge session at the Old Rectory Hotel on Thursday, 17th March 2016.  Members began to gather for a pre-lunch drink in the bar at about 12:00 pm before taking their seats for lunch at 12:30 pm. As usual, we were treated to a lovely lunch by the very attentive staff of the Old Rectory, which was much appreciated.

Following lunch we settled down for the afternoon duplicate bridge session, which was played as a two-winner movement.  The succesful winners were:

NORTH-SOUTH : Cyril Adams & Christine Rocket

EAST-WEST: Jenny Hemmings & Sylvia Briggs

Each winning pair were presented with a bottle of bubbly by Chairman Robert Harber.

A raffle was also held, raising a wonderful total of £116.00.  This will be donated to the local charity "Nelson's Journey", which supports bereaved children.

The raffle that was held during the 2016 Spring Lunch,at the Rectory Hotel, Crostwick raised £116, which was donated to the Nelson's Journey Charity.
